Project Exchange on Metaphor Machines

Driving Question: "How does change occur?"

While reading about Metaphor Machines on the Project Exchange website, and the focus on change as an element within society and its impact on learning, I was reminded of one of my favorite films, HALF NELSON. Ryan Gosling plays a history teacher with some bad vices but still manages to be a good teacher (in the classroom, anyway). He spends much of his time teaching his class about history and the science of change. I thought you might enjoy this clip that I found. Check it out!

The Giving Back Foundation

The Giving Back Foundation was established in 2010 by Meera Gandhi with the support of her husband Vikram Gandhi as a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) organization. Its beneficiaries are carefully selected existing charities around the world, with special emphasis on women and children in need.

Directly assisting education of women and children, addressing illness, poverty and suffering are the primary activities of the Giving Back Foundation, whose motto is, "We are to the universe only as much as we give back to it."
The Foundation also exists as a platform for debate and discussion, as philanthropic activities continue to evolve around the world.

THIS IS A GREAT ORGANIZATION IN SUPPORT OF A WORTHY CAUSE. PLEASE VISIT THEIR WEBSITE AND CONTRIBUTE WHAT YOU CAN:
